A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...yawn
How it was
Okay, here's the deal, while I was recuperating, I actually read my posts. I found out what a boring pile of nonsense this whole blog is. Trouble is, I usually write these posts early in the morning - a time when my brain begins to shutdown. I write nonsense on a notepad then copy and paste on the blog some time later without reading what the nonsense is all about. Time for a change.
A lot of tweaking and drastic changes
If you were with me since day one (2005), you'd be surprised. Because in the beginning things were stupid, really stupid. There were so many ideas. None of them were great. Now, after some serious discussions about a lot of things, we've decided to rewrite the bloody story once again (third time). Yes, not just the story, but everything else. We've realized how people are bored with Star Wars, and I met someone my age who doesn't know the Original Trilogy exists. Must be some alien. So we sat down and discussed, we've decided to do a different version of Star Wars Fan Film, no jokes no BS. We want to make a film that people will take seriously. At FINAS, I got to chat with Afdlin Shauki, he said I need to make something new, I only slept two hours the night before, I wasn't sure if I was paying attention to the man. But later our team regrouped and a lot of things were thrown out. The change begins.
How we want it to be
We've decided to make the film believable. No more technological nonsense like airspeeders. If something is supposed to work, it had better work. The weapons in our Fan movie will have bullets and ammo clips. No more airspeeders from the Jetsons. If something flies, it's not a flying car. There will be roads and highways and vehicles with wheels. Speeder bikes no longer exist. A serious lack of lasers. No more Stormtroopers (maybe not). No more politics mumbo jumbo. No more Jedis like the ones in the New Trilogy who can't fight bare handed. No more abuse of special fx. No more space combat. No more John Williams theme. No more of those weak lines and bad acting. And no more of that Star Wars Opening Crawl. And no this is not about budget, because it’s actually easier these days to do a space combat than a realistic dogfight in the sky. It’s easier to rip John Williams music from a CD but a whole lot harder to make a new original theme.
Should we be so evil?
Well, it’s sad to see these things go. But we just don't care anymore just as long as we make something different. We want to make something better. We know a lot of things people wont like, but what do we care, no one has to pay to watch a fan film. If people don't like what we end up with, they can just flame us in forums and deny our existence.

What's goin on
The whole set, the environments will be discussed sometime later, we'll reference real world elements, buildings, architecture. But for now its what we have here. A small but very major update to the B-27. Note that we could've finished this so long ago. But we didn't because were not happy with it and because I was very Ill. This B-27 Red Squadron will come with (like in picture) Military Camo, missiles, rockets, chainguns, torpedoes, armored and tank-like outer shell etc. All of this is based on what we think will make it believable, more military. When we finally finish this thing, we'll let you guys know. But its not too far away from being finished. We're still doing endless research and testing though.
The cockpit area is a total mess and some other parts are still on paper. Currently, the polygon count for this basic model is around 700,000 poly. When finished it could be over the million mark. Lower detailed versions of about 100,000 poly will be made later. For close ups we'll make Higher detailed parts. But we're still unsure if this Fighter will have close-ups in the fan film. But it still has bolts on the bodywork.May the Force be with you.
